Father Tom” has been the pastor of St. Brendan the Navigator Church since 2011. He was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island and has three sisters - Jeanine, Kathleen and Mary Ellen. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College, studied as a seminarian in the Diocese of Orlando and graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree from St. Meinrad School of Theology in Indiana. He was ordained on Nov. 26, 1988 by Bishop Thomas Grady.
Prior to St. Brendan’s, Father Tom served in parishes in Port Orange, Longwood, Melbourne, and Orlando. He also served the Diocese of Orlando as Director of Cemeteries, Vocation Director and Assistant Master of Ceremonies. Additionally, he was the School Pastor of Bishop Moore Catholic High School. At times, he performed two or three of these assignments at the same time!
Father Tom enjoys Tuesday as his day “off” when he might be observed visiting various “shrines” of Disney, and Sunday afternoons he enjoys NASCAR (#24, #48, #88), the New England Patriots or the Boston Red Sox, depending on the season.
You can meet Father Tom at the main door of the church before and after most weekend Masses.
